Voyages Through Time is a one-year high school integrated science curriculum centered on the theme of evolution, comprised of six modules. Modules are also appropriate for use in discipline-specific courses.
The SETI Institute, the California Academy of Sciences, NASA Ames Research Center, and San Francisco State University created Voyages Through Time with funding from the National Science Foundation and support from the Hewlett-Packard Corporation, the Foundation for Microbiology, and the Combined Federated Charities. Teachers,scientists, curriculum writers, and multimedia specialists all worked together on the modules.
Ninth and tenth grade high school students that have achieved middle school science skills and content standards for physical, life, and geo sciences.

Yes, the modules can be used separately in discipline-specific courses.
Yes, the curriculum is based on the recommendations in the National Science Education Standards (NRC, 1996) and Benchmarks for Science Literacy (AAAS, 1993).
VTT is based upon a constructivist instructional model developed by the Biological Sciences Curriculum Study, 1996 known as the "E"s: Engage - Explore - Explain - Elaborate - Evaluate. Inquiry-based learning is also emphasized.
VTT was field tested in San Francisco Bay Area between 1999 and 2001, and tested nationally in the 2001/2002 school year.
Individual module packages are $199 each; the entire curriculum is $999, plus tax, shipping, and handling.
Each module comes with 2 teacher CD-ROMs, 10 student readers, and 5 student CD-ROMs.
