Star Quest is a 4-day optical and radio amateur astronomy event held June 25-28 2025 ... at the great dark sky site of the Green Bank Observatory. We have interesting and informational lectures and classes all four days of the event and Keynote Speakers each evening. Observing right from your campsite. There are showers and toilets down by the observing field and additional showers and toilets in the bunkhouse. We are planning rocket launches for adults and children, with other fun activities also planned for the children. If you register for the full four-day event and are camping, you can come in on Tuesday evening and get set up, then just go to the registration desk on Wednesday morning to check in.

Physics Graduate Student at Marshall University and founding member of the West Virginia Alliance for STEM and the Arts
THURSDAY, JUNE 26TH -- DR EMMANUEL FONSECA
Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy, WVU. As a radio astronomer, his research interests currently center on radio pulsars and fast radio bursts.
FRIDAY, JUNE 27TH -- DR BENNE HOLWERDA
Associate Professor of Physics, University of Louisville, Louisville, KY. Dr. Holwerda is an extragalactic observational astronomer whose research interests focus on astronomy and astrophysics with a focus on galaxies.
SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH -- DR SETH SHOSTAK
American astronomer and author, is currently the senior astronomer for the SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) Institute. He directs the search for extraterrestrials trying to find evidence of intelligent life in space.
